I had one in my '92. The hardest part was getting to the computer, after that, it's just splicing into two wire.

As far as performance, all it really did was raise the shift points about 500 RPMs in every gear. When I got my Hypertech chip, that also changes the shift points at wide open throttle, so I sold the Shift Plus.

I put one on my 94 3.4 and I like it. The biggest thing that I noticed was the firmness it added to the shifts. I have heard however that it isn't a good idea to put it on a problematic transmission to try to extend the life. But if you are just looking to improve your shifts a little bit it is fine. When I did mine finding and splicing the wires was the easy part, the hardest part for me was finding a way through the firewall. I didn't want to just whip out the drill and start punching holes in my car so I had to search around and find a hole to go through.

Big negative on this one... look around the firebirdv6.com message boards you found and you'll see. It has been known to cause a lot of trans problems... if you're gonna get a shift kit get a real one like the Transgo
