Changes in making the af movie

so yea about........ 2 years ago lol, we were planning on making a movie, well some of us did get some footage but not enough for a movie.

with seeing all these movies pop up on the boards, i talked to ljasonl and we decided it be a good idea to get all movies that were put on the forum and combine them to one movie(along with footage also sent in to ljasonl). i think it would be a very good idea

but i need someone who has a fairly fast computer who can download all the good ones (even ok ones) and gather them up all on one thread so that, ljasonl can download them(he's on dial up) and walla... the af movie

imagine with rednecks and mr lous and jason, and jeffs gtp sleeper etc...
there's been a whole load of movies put on here.

give me some replies on what you guys think, and let me know if your willing to do a little searching

Well, I have a pretty fast connection so I would have no problem downloading them and then burning them to CDs and sending them to you. However, I just don't have time to go searching for them.

^^same but i dont have the space on my harddrive to download 10s or even 100s of gigs of movies then get tons of DVD disks. But if you would like to assign me a small portion i would be willing in the few months to come. it could be some sort of fund raiser even to where Non-af Members and members will less than a certian numer of posts and time being active would have to pay to pay for shipping or w/e for the AF members who have stayed active for X number of months.

yeah i was thinking the same thing, regular af members get free one's and new or non regular members pay a fee.

well, i guess what i can do is search for them myself, post them in a thread(make it a sticky) and if anyone has some i dont have, then they can add it to the list.

then polygon can download them and burn them on to cd, and the rest would be on ljasonl

Hey youngvr4, I'm willing to help with the project. I got a fast internet connection downloading, but upload sucks. I have a good computer and have experience with editing movies, and actually have quite a few short movies on my computer already. If there is something I could do, PM me, and I'll tell you if I can do it or not, probably yes though.

But, as far as linking all the other vids floating around the net to this dvd, I like the idea, but I don't know if that would be fair to those who spent the time making it. You know, not asking for their permission and all. But, then again, they do travel from place to place without permission. So, whatev.

On the other hand, putting an entire video together full of various street races, compilations, members rides, and what not, I think that would make for a hell of an AF vid. How long are you planning to make this dvd anyway?

Mr. Luos, Young made a sticky at the top of this section. So if you can help him out, please put your links of vids in their so he can download them, or have whoever else is on this project do it for him. So, any links of vids you have, or would like to have in this dvd, place them in there.

I could be wrong about this but charging any money might bring up legal problems from people that were on the vids getting beat or whatever while you were filming your kills. You would probably have to get permission from anyone on the video who you can make out (be it the cars or the person driving) to keep a bunch off assholes from wanting to get a piece of the take. Like I said I could be wrong on this but it might be worth checking out. :2cents:

Don't know for sure. If anyone knows a good lawyer, (they do exist right?) you would have to look it up. If some jackass sees a way to make a little cash, it would be better to have all the bases covered. :2cents:

These videos are evidence of people breaking the law. I highly doubt someone would be stupid enough to stry to sue over it.

^^lol, very true... except for the on track vids...

I have about three or four hours worth of vids (the long ones are mostly compliations (i.e. Turbo Dreams and the Like), and the longer non compilations are mostly Dado and his crew), plus I'm working on getting some footage of Cassie doin her thing. I really wish I had a video cammera with me today, played cat and mouse with a 350Z through a bit of traffic, but I'll see what I can get and get up. I'd be willing to help out if ya'll need any help with anything.
