Brakes?

My friend let her brother replace the brake pads on an 02 Ranger. As of last night when i saw her the brake light was on. Her brother said he bled the brakes and i was wondering if the light would be on because he pressed the brakes while the calipers were off.

Is the master cylinder full? Low fluid will cause the light to come on. Also check to be sure the parking brake is fully released.

if he pressed the brakes while the caliper was off the piston prob came shooting out of the caliper. definatlly go over everything good before driving it!!!
