Ok members, what would you put in a time capsule. One that would be open in 10 or 20 years from now. Be it automotive or personal.

Quite simply, a letter describing everything that has gone on in my life up to this point. My emotions at the time and feelings i have towards my friends and people who are suppose to be friends. That way I see how my life has changed.
Probably a few other things but nothing that important.

My gernaded TE-44 turbocharger that I found the other day...
Oh and a Buick GN.... They are climbing in value like crazy :icon16:
I could dig a hole that big with the stuff we have a work.

Carburetor - not likely that people wil know what that is in 50 years.
Sealed jar of gasoline - same reason(possibly) and it will be quite valuable.
Some documents showing the history and perspective of our time, as the history books tend to get skewed over time.
Preserved seeds for rare plants, as they may not exist in the future and they may have developed the science to save them.
DNA from rare species of animals, same reason.
A sample of our air, so a comparison could be made.
And porn.

I'd put a wad of cash in there as well as the number one album and movie of the time as well as a sealed newspapaer and some other little nick nacks.

In addition to my earlier post ...
I would put a cell phone, desktop computer and a laptop computer. My first cell phone was the size of a brick (and weighed about that same !!). My first computer had a 12" or 13" monitor with a huge PC and a 5 1/4" floppy drive. That was back in 1991; image what size phones and computers will be like in 50 yrs.
Oh yeah ... a picture of the blue sky before the nuclear fallout turned everything dark and black. :sadwavey:

20 years is all? For that short a time, I'd put in a copy of Windows 2000 and a few articles about how freaked out people acted over century change.

That would be about the time the Us dollar plummets like the Reich (sp?) mark. You'd be better off exchanging your dollars for euros. Atleast you would gain interest.
