how much power could a 10 bolt rearend from an 85 z28 handle. and what gears are in those things

Depends.

I have seen stock LS1 cars break theirs with the addition of drag radials. That is using the 6-speed and about 310 RWHP.
Not sure about the gears.

how long can you hold the handle on a gernade before you get tired and let go???


Noone knows and I am sure you would not want to find out...

When proporly built they can handle up to 400hp safely. Stock its alot less, maybe 300hp or even lower with slicks like Luos said.

Regarding what gears you have, look in the glovebox, there should be a white sticker with a bunch of three digit codes, look for GU#, where the # is a 2, 3, 4, or something like that. Those three digit codes corrospond to what gears your rear end came with. Also, look for G80, thats the code for a posi rear.

well i know its a posi. but i cant look it the glove box because the rear end is seperate from the car
