I have a 92 eagle NT FWD - 5spd
A few weeks ago I replaced the engine. the complete engine, thottle body, injectors, manifolds, etc.. , New plugs, wires, battery, etc..
When the maf sensor is plugged up , it will only rev to about 4k RPM when its cold. Then once it warms up... 15 -30 driving time its starts cutting back, almost as if its flooding, sometimes black smoke comes from the exhaust when it does this. Now when it starts doing that, I can plug the maf back up and it runs fine.. But still can't rev over 4k.
I have a book on it and have checked the maf at the different temps and it reads normal. Also checked the voltage at the maf plug and it is normal. I am at my wits end. I don't want to pay over $100 for a maf when the old one seems okay... But its hell to drive running this crappy
If it is the maf, I have a 95 talon also, is there anyway to remove it to check the 92? will they interchange, long enough for me to check it anyway.
Any ideas?
