I got a response so let me add to the Question...It only slips after 20 min of driving +/-. Then if it sits for a bit it will run again. How can I trouble shoot this ? I have had no look on web. Hayes manual said "take it to dealer" & thats no fun!
Thx

Well let's start with fluid level. It's OK?
How does the fluid look and smell? Yes how does it smell. Does it have a burnt smell to it?

Fluid is bright doesnt smell .... right on level.
tranny has 10k miles on it. runs like a champ 1st 20 miles or so.... it does shift "hard" and gets harder before it starts slipping... I posted 1x before and didnt get any response so heres a copy of that one...... THANKS A bunch for any ideals
I have a 92 caprice wagon with a sick transmission... It starts by running fine well it does shift hard sometimes. After 20+ miles it starts to slip. If i continue to drive the rpms jump way up until it wont roll over 20mph (i havent tried to force it). If the car is parked it will fire and run fine for up to about 20 miles +/- then it starts over.
the 1st time - 5 min rest and ran ok
the following weekend drove it to a show about 60 miles 1 way no problems.
next week drove 20 miles slipppppp...no relief with sitting so tow it home.
drove it 3-4 miles today no trouble?
modulator? bands? any ideals
thanks in advance

Does your car have a TV cable? If so is it adjusted correctly?
