98 2.2 cav has had issues for over a year. seems to always have a little miss at idle. once came off freeway and stalled at light then stalled coming down steep hill. (enough gas) took to shop no codes unplugged overdrive for tranny then had to reprogamm w/ computer. was fine for good while. then tried to fix idle-spark plugs, wires, cleaned trottle body. then the darn thing didn't want to start in cold morning till the motor was deflodded w/peddle and would want to stall out intermittently mostly at lights i could double foot it back home then at home it was running fine(no codes) since the thing would run fine by the time we got to a shop. put in a oil dipstick block warmer for cold start worked somewhat. changed ignition module for stalling. tried to get a pcv valve for car at dealer. bought it and asked where it goes. mech came out to my car said my car doesn't have a pcv since not on the vacuum hose map or seen where it should be. the mech parts computer didn't show for my car but the parts dept sells one for my car. doesn't make since to me. seemed to work for a while. stalling again saw this forum cleaned out iac couldn't do egr didn't have right tool. worked for 2 months fine always miss at idle must just be normal for car. wants to stall out again. think probable the fuel pump w/the last incident the weather is warmer and the tank was only 1/4 full maybe the fuel was hot and heating the pump up. the air and fuel filter have been changed and during the times of problems i put in good gas. may be coil pack? appreciate any help

pcv valve is on the valve cover connected to the air intake. could be anything from that to a coolant temp sensor, IAT sensor, MAP sensor, TPS sensor, fuel pump, EGR valve, etc.
