hey i have a 2000 prelude black on black and i was thinking of painting pieces of the dash silver. im going to do the the piece where the cd player is, the power locks are, the power windows are, and behind the steering wheel the part that is surrounding the gauges ( the part outside the plastic, not the part that the gauges are actually on). i dont have any other mods and i just think the interior is pretty boring so im doing that and putting aluminum floor mats. Also they dont make aluminum floor mats for a prelude so i was wondering if anyone knows if the floor mats for a civic would fit? and do you think that painting those pieces silver and having aluminum floormats would look nice and clean, not tacky? thanks

you are going to have to use alot of paint to cover up the black with silver.

Instead of painting, why don't you get an aluminum dash kit?

im not painting it myself, im getting it done at a really well known performance shop where all my friends go... ive seen the interior paint jobs they do and they are great quality... i asked the guys originally for an aluminum kit and they told me that it would look cleaner to paint it rather than having something sticking out plus it would cost me under half the price so i decided to do that... i asked them for aluminum floor mats and they said they could only get civic ones, and i asked other shops too and thats all i could find too... they said they could custom make me some but they didnt tell me how much it would cost so im not sure if i will do that

i agree with tacky and ricey, but as far as useless goes your way off, imagine how much weight reduction he'll get from throwing out the cloth and adding aluminum to the interior. lol

lol ya to tell you the truth i really dont feel like doing it... but i just think the interior is so boring... when i was test driving an rsx i thought it looked nice with the silver painted center console... if i dont like it i can just get them to paint it back i guess... ill have to think about it
