Pioneer head unit

Hey im getting the pioneer head unit, the one with the screen savers(i dont remember the model number). I was wondering what you guys thought of this product. Any feed back would be help ful. BTW its the one that is XM ready but not the XM ready and mp3 compatable one

I was looking at one similar to that one, maybe even the same one a few weeks ago. It looks really nice and would probably be a good headunit. Very cool screen savers, I can watch those things for hours. :D

i think the one your are talking about is the dehp9300 or the dehp930. they both are XM ready but one is the premier series.

I just bought the DEH 9300, and installed it about 3 weeks ago. So far so good, there are 4 different screen savers. A dolphin, racecar, and 2 different weird ones.


One thing I don't like about it, is the Mute button isn't very accessible. you know when you need to turn the radio down when the cop comes by :)

Other than that, its a good Deck, a lot of different DOO HICKEYS and GADGETS.... that I haven't learned yet....

sony just came out with a new HU with 32,000 color screen and u can upload photos and stuff

It is like $279 and so far people sound like thye like it so im probally gonna get it, after i pay my ticket. 53 in a 25 zone! ($160). I got pulled by a fucking camero cop!! Watch it guys they are out there

I got the P6400 and I love it. The only thing I hate about Pioneers though is detaching the face, it almost feels as if you are going to break it to get it off. It's cool having the names of songs on buyrned CDs too.

I just got the DEH 8400 with the remote and I like it. Its the silver faced MP3 version which has the slide down face, not the flop down. I had the 6400 which was XM and no MP3 and it was a sweet deck but low voltage pre outs. The only thing I don't like about the 8400 is that the movies on it now suck. The dolphin lady and race cars were cool, the new jet ski and rocket ship are grainy as hell and just don't do it for me. The jet ski one is pretty boring and the rocket ship? What does that have to do with anything? The racecars was cool cuz your driving.

i'm looking at getting the DEH-7400 right now. It looks pretty tight and from what i heard at the store it sounds pretty good too. i'm just scared of my luck with pioneer. i've had 2 pioneer head units and they were both the premiere series, one was a cd player which got stolen and the other was a cassette deck and it shit the bed after a year.

I think the 7400 only has 3.1 volt pre outs or something, the 8400 has better ones and the face folds up on it in a really slick way, plus MP3 and WMA playback, I would go for the 8400 or 9400 if you can afford it.
