i am looking at getting an avalanche 15 and a brutus BX1000D. what is the best way to hook this up (can you wire the sub coils in paralell? a little confused, cause the website says it is dual two ohm coils wired in series).

or maybe should i go with the NX750D? the website also says the sub doesn't need more than 750w.

match the RMS of the amp with the RMS of the sub.
and why dont you save to get a better car?

The AVA15 has dual 2ohm VC's... wired in parallel you will recieve a 1ohm load...

yeah, i know, but i was confused because the website said they were wired in series and i didn't know if they were fixed that way, or if you could hook it up however you wanted.
my car gets good gas milage, that's why i like it. plus a small hatchback has good acoustics.

bx1000d only puts out 600 at 1 ohm. get either a bx1205d or a bx1500d.

that's not what i have seen. i see that it puts out 1000w rms into 1 ohm.

Its rated at 1000rms, but unless your running a stable 16v your not gunna get that. Expect [email protected] and 750ish at 14.4
