I am getting ready to put in some coilover springs on my Accord and I was wondering what the implications were of using my factory shocks. I have a 1995 EX Coupe. Any feedback would be appriciated.
Thanks,
Chris

the ride is gonna be bouncy depending on the brand of coilovers. the stock shocks aint gonna last that long thou.

its gonna be rough and bouncy, especially with coilover sleeves. they might even be bouncy with new shocks. coilover sleeves suck! if your gonna get "coilovers" get the real thing or you'll be sorry. just go with some lowering springs. plus you'll have to align the car every time you change the height cause it changes the suspension geometry. plus your shocks won't last but about 4 months. ive had mine lowered 2.5 inches on sprint springs since thanksgiving day and my shocks are starting to squeak pretty bad. but ive already placed the order for some bectecs and i should have them in about two weeks or so.

I have a 97 four door and I got skunk 2 coilovers and about 4 months after that I blew my stock shocks. The stock shocks aren't designed for what you are trying to to. Over Christmas time I got Tokiko Blues and they do the job nicely, it rides better than the day I got it off the lot...
