some dude told me that if I wanted alittle more power on my ZC motor I should get my heads ported and change my valves .ok but can anyone tell me what is a poted head ? and are valves realy hard to change or does it have to be done profesionally? BTW its an 89 civic HB

porting means to open up the intake and exhuast ports to allow more air/fuel to come into and out of the motor.
swapping valves is not for a beginner, the entire head needs to be removed in order to change them, every major gasket should be replaced after doing this as well, head needs to be torqued correctly and in the right order. you will also need special tools like a spring compressor. this is not something you should be takling if you dont know what you are doing.
