86 cutty , slipping in 2nd gear

Yo, I just got registered here so go ahead and call me it ! nOOb !

With that outa the way heres my prob....mint 86 cutlass supreme , 3.1 v-6 (yuck)....first gear is fine from stop , tight, no slippage...2nd is a different story al-together...almost like it isnt there , till I wind the motor up and then it grabs...slowly...and third gear is fine so far.

Any thoughts on this....

sounds like time for a rebuild, if you tear the tranny apart to replace those clutches for 2nd gear, you might as well replace all guts.
