At 10k miles the maintanence required light came on. I would rather not go to the dealer to have it turned off and them tell me I need all kind of scheduled maintanence.
Anyone know how to turn it off???

im not really familiar with an 04 tsx, but is it a light, or a reminder strip, that was green and just recently turned red?

Take it to Autozone and have them run it for you, they do it for free.

Its not a check engine light. I called Acura, it comes on automatically around 10k miles.

It's not a CEL (Check Engine Light) it's Maintainance Light
For the 6th gen Accords and the TL/CL what you have to do is turn the car off, hold down the trip reset button and turn the car to the on position (But don't start the car) while holding that button for 10 seconds. PAfter the light goes off, start the car and you would be set. I'm not sure if that will work with the TSX though. If not, Just refer to the owners manual about resetting the Maintainance light or ask an Acura tech how to do it. I'm sure it's pretty simple.

Ah my fault, I misread...
My girlfriend's Pontiac does the same thing for oil changes. You have to have the key in the ignition and press the brake 3 times or some quirky reset procedure like that. Just like blacknight said, there is probably a simple procedure that resets it that should be in the owners manaul.

I did some searching and found a few different procedures that may work:
1) a blue button under the dash
2) when the car is off, press and old the trip/reset button. turn the Key to the ON position. continue holding the button until the light turns off (about 10-15 seconds).
One of those may do it.
