Rear Wipers

Just wondering if all fastback 240s have rear wipers, see some 240sx with them and some without them. I've heard that the ones with rear wipers have the sunroofs and the one without the sunroofs dont. :confused:

good question. I havent really noticed that. I would assume they all come with a rear wiper for safety issues??? Both hatches here have sunroof and wiper. So i dont know.

My friend has a hatch with no sunroof and it has wipers. I think its standard on a hatch.

I think the SE was the only one with the wiper. I have had two hatch 240s and two more hatches (a bad glass breaking incedent). The one with wipers were with power windows and the crank windows didnt have wipers.

My SE has one. Also a sunroof. I plan on doing away with it if I ever do any bodywork. Pretty useless and tacky IMO.

yea i agree that it's one of the SE model's options. i have a base model and it has no rear wiper.

(but i don't have hicas so that's good...)

if you lived somewhere with a lot of snow... those might be helpful... but anywhere else... you don't need rear wipers.

i have a 89 hatch with no sunroof and no LSD
so im guessing its not an SE but it came with a rear wiper

SE has power windows, mirrors, not sure what else. Only the Hicas models came with LSD in the S13.

s13 hatches come with either:

a) no spoiler, no wiper
b) spoiler, no wiper
c) no spoiler, wiper
d) spoiler, wiper

depends on whoever bought it and what options they got. all se's have both spoiler and wiper (except mine because i deleted them :smokin: )

My SE didn't come with VLSD. Its open diff.

you dont have hicas right? I think hicas was an option. Not all SE's have hicas, as fanat just proved i guess. Since all hicas has lsd. NVM winston just said what i said but in simpler terms.

Are you crazy? Im pretty sure the LSD came in a stand alone by itself as well. I dont have HICAS but I do have an LSD. and its a 91 SE Coupe.

yeah thats what i thought. im almost positive i remember that its like the wiper/spoiler thing its pretty unpredictable how it came it just shows up in random cars.

Best way to check is get under the back of your car and look on the diff case. Look for a orange sticker that says R200V.

lsd's only came in super-hicas equipped cars -------- or as an option for any 240sx.

not all 240s have lsds.

Jeez guys, go out and look.

Sticker: Adn or :jack the back of the car up and spin the tire. If the both spin the same way, you're LSD equipped. If one spins one way, and the other the opposite, youre open diff. No ifs, ands, buts about it.

so HICAS always has VLSD but some have VLSD with no HICAS. right?

HICAS and VLSD came together, in Canada, not all 240s have VLSD.
