I asked this question before, but no one seemed to know what I was talking about, so I got a picture of it  ... lol
What is the pipe going from the CAI? It goes to a sensor and then attached on to the exhaust on the DP. When I put on my new header and exhaust, do I still need this? Will I get a CEL without it?

That's the vacuum pressure line isn't it? Last I checked they were necessary....I may be wrong though.

How can I add my header/exahust when I have no room for that. There's nothing to connect it to on the header

i've seen a few n/a eclipses and talons with that and i've always wondered what it's for. i don't have one of those and my old motor didn't either. i have a buddie that has one of those on his eclipe though and it was blocked off with a cap at the end of the exhaust fitting part.
i'd say just take the whole thing off.

It does have a sensor on it. Im going to disconnect the sensor and see if I get a CEL. The line goes suck like a vaccuum. Thanks for the input. Any other ideas?

its the air injection system. dunno if it will throw a cel or not. it is a good thing to have since it cuts back on emissions and raw gas coming out the tailpipe but its extra shit in the engine bay.

Im going to dissconnect the sensor today when I go out and see what happens. Im hoping I can take that out. I dont want to have to do custom work to the header to get it to fit in.

you should be able to weld a bung on the downpipe for it if you do need it. that would be better then f'ing up a brand new header

So Ive had the sensor discconncted for a week now and now cel. Car is still running great. I decided to take off the piping and sensor (up to the steel-colored piece) and still no problem. The car was significantly louder, but no cel or problems. When i install the exhuast this weekend, its staying off.
