93 grand am quad 4

i have a 93 quad 4 grand am... gets stuck in overdrive... can anyone tell me this is caused by? was told it could be the tcc switch for the torque converter.....please help

If it gets stuck in OD then it is not the TCC solenoid. If the transmission does not want to release when you slow down and causes it to stall out then the TCC solenoid is bad. Unplug the TCC connector on the top of the transmission and see if the problem goes away if it does you have found the problem. The gas mileage will suffer with it unplugged but it won't stall. You can buy a new one and install it yourself for about $50.
