headlights turn on by themselves

I gotta 94 Buick Lesabre and my problem is the headlights turn on by themselves at night. Mainly when its really humid at night or even in the morning they will turn on themselves. When push the switch the dashlights will turn on just like normal and the headlights stay on. When i push it again everything will turn off. Sometimes it takes two or three tries before the headlamps turn off. Has anybody had this problem?

Do you mean when you are driving at night or when the car is parked at night? I presume you mean when it is parked at night. I never touch the lights switch in mine. The driving lights are on during the day. The sentinal detects when to turn on the lights and does it automatically. They turn off automatically as well. Sounds like there may be a problem with the sentinal. I haven't had this problem, but have read the part is expensive.

yes i mean when it is parked. I dont think my lights are supposed to turn on automaticly. I have to manually turn them on every time. Tonight i had to push the switch 4 times before the headlights would turn off, just the headlights, not the parking lights or the running lights in back. Thats wierd.
