Been awhile since I've made a post, so i decided ill update the community. Currently i have started on an Integra I intend to go all out on. I am planning on doing buddyclub2 (http://www.buddyclub2.com) front and rear kits and running some clean sideskirts with them. The wing i might be doing a wrap around that will connect to the widebody, of the 3 piece that comes with the kit. Eitehr way I am still doing the body kit. The interior plans arn't solid yet, but i am thinking of turning the whole rear seat area into a fiberglass system, much like the one in my blazer. Other modifications might be a gt steering wheel and tachometer, and some other shit like magazines, cd's, etc. Still not sure on paint color, but im sure it will come to me after i get the body work done. Well enough talk here are some pics :smokin:

I apologize for the darkness of the pictures.

Oh, one more thing. If anyone has any supra taillights, with or without buckets, and/or focus headlights with or without buckets please hit me up here, on aim, or drop a pm. Lemme know what you think!

Very Nice start Ricky. Your plans sound like this should be an integra like no other here. The wrap around wing sounds like a cool idea since this is going to have some bodywork.

Yea im thinkn i might be running with some 20s if i can find a nice pair, but i think 18s will do since most of the tuner rims are about 18s. Well here are some new pics :D Tonight i will have the front kit all laid out and get some putty on the seems. Not the left side is a little bumpy from the soldering iron when i was adding some melted plastic to strengthen it :)

Soldering iron? What on earth are you doing?!

mike@af
05-08-2005, 08:57 PM
What in the hell are you doing with a soldering iron? Just a tip, get rid of the spot putty. One part putties like that that cure by evaporation are horrible because they continually shrink. So on and so forth, long story short, they can screw up a perfect paintjob.

Looks good so far.

SidewayzS15
05-08-2005, 10:40 PM
the soldering iron was used to melt some f the tree sprues to the back of the styrene sheets to connect it to the body for added strength. Also i have been looking for the tamiya putty but i have not been able to locate it, luckily i havnt run into any of the cracking or shrinking problems mentioned earlier, then again i use it on small areas, not a big ditch. As far as pictures go i will most likely have some new ones up tomorrow night. Tonight i have some homework left from the weekend still and school comes first so. Front kit will definetly be done tomorrow night, and i might start work on the rear kit :D Also if you know a cheap place online to buy the tamiya epoxy i willget some, though i dont really like ordering online, but it seems to be a last resort here. Thanks for looking!

Ditch the soldering iron and just use model cement instead. Also, a few months from now you will run into the cracking. My old 1/43 Del sol has cracked where there was a little bit of spot putty.

I have run into a problem in constructing the rear kit, the side lips came out good, and i am satified with them, but making the side scoops on the rear kit i am concerned about. I am thinkning of cutting out a huge hole then add a piece of styrene angled in, but im worried it wont look smooth, so i think cutting it out and bending it in would work best what do you think?

Here is the pic

Cut it out and cement styrene in there. I do it all the time with no problems.

Alright guys got some new pics for ya :D I have added the vents, and made a tutorial (check the general modeling page), then i used a dremel and added some holes. The bit i used was small, but seemed to wander a little. So i straightened it out and touched it up with some styrene. I think the rear kit flows really well with the rest of the car, and i think it looks very aggressive overall. All thats left now if the wide body, with i am making templates for now :) Here are the pics.
Enjoy!

:eek7: WTF I wishi had the skill you had when it comes to modifiers, though i could probly do pretty good now, now i have styrene lol. I used to use cardboard for my kits haha. Also your painting skills are amazing. Well thanks for the compliment, but i envy you also, you were the underdog of modifiers, hope i dont sound cocky :uhoh: Well thanks for all the feedback on this build, i got a it primered today, and the front kit revealed a few pin holes in it, and i forgot to smooth an area of the front passenger scoop  Ill get some pics up tomorrow

New pics of the car in primer. Do you guys think i should do a widebodykit, if i did one it would be very similar to the r34 rear panel, where it comes like 3/4 up the panel and levels off, front and rear, i would also blend it to thr door, to avoid the square look.

05-15-2005, 03:54 AM
Well i tried the widebody, because i started looking at my a/43 i made awhile back, and it looks so perfect on that, then again the focus headlights and supra tails give it a totally different look, hard to tell it was a teg :D well i think with the wing i mocked it up with, the integra sort of looks like an r33 lol i know its not even close, but it does resemble the rear half of it. Well you be the judge, here are the pics, let me know what you think!

Hey,

Widebody is ok. But make it so on all four corners then, otherwise it just plays to the rice tune...wide rear on a fwd...unless you are swapping the s2k motor in it...Looks good tho. Keep up the awsome work!

Hey guys, its time for another update. I got the other side of the widebody done, it just need a few touch-ups here and there. Progress has been kind of slow, as i moved my modeling area from my room, and a small amount of desk space due to my computer, to my basement, where i have transformed a bar into my new work area. It has been used for storage for as long as i can remember, so i found new areas to store everything, from food to toilet paper, you name it we have it lol (i feel like coscos...) Anyway here are some pics of the car and m new work space. Feedback is more than welcome.

I will be posting new pics tonight hopefully, i am planning on laying out the frame for the front widebody. The rear end of the car is done, and i rescribed the rear door lines :) I really like how this one is coming out, something about it makes me want to work at it more and more but i dont know what. Well tehre is a quick update, sorry i dont have pictures, but it looks prertty much the same as the previous bunch, except the rear is completely done... bodywork wise :D

Also what do you guys thinkn about doing a roofscoop, i have been toying around with this idea for a short period of time, but i am undecided at the moment, i might just have to wait and see how the front turns out
