i have a 1992 rs, with a standard differential. I know a guy with an 88 iroc with the rear-end i want, but it's got disc brakes, and I've got drum brakes. Is it easy to convert from disc to drum on a rear end?

okay i did that swap for my 91 rs w/ an 87 iroc rear...u will deff. need the porportioning valve for that car or an adjustable one....and a new master cylinder..also make sure that the rear still has the ebrake bracket on it cause the one i got didnt so when i bought after market calipers the didnt work right w/ out it it seemed like they let the brake pad wobble a lil sometimes....and the rotors for that rear should do u for the brake part of it. but be warned when i did the swap i shredded the rear cause the gears that were in it were the wrong ones w/ the wrong spline count for my axles so u need to make sure cause i had to just shell out 1527 bucks to redo the whole rear in mine, i have a post mabey one or two pages out explainin it a lil check it out if u want to

yeah it shredded the posi unit i looked at it so i got the posi unit from eaton, the ring and pinion and deluxe install kit from richmond gears, outter seals, and i got new wheel bearings while they were in there cause mine where pretty shot....and about 600 for labor so the only thing that wasnt new was the carrier
