VR6 oil filter..

2000 jetta glx 2.8l v6... I was doing the oil change on it yesterday and I was looking for the oil filter and couldnt find it.. and as a joke to my friend I said "watch it be inside the engine" and the clouds opened up and god said "I hate you danny"

so I was wondering if anyone knew just how to get to the oil filter? you gotta take off the oil pan or something?

No... the oil filter is on the front of the engine. Its a "cartridge" style oil filter and you have to take off the 36mm cap and get hosed w/ oil. Its a bog black cap facing down.
