That's right people, show off your work or home pc and areas.

Taking the idea that ci5ic posted (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=404414) in COT of posting your work areas, I figure why not also post pics of your home PC and the areas you put them in.

These are mine, since I work at home a few days out of the week, I have a few more than usual, but I let the programs do the work and just cruise the internet (AF) in the mean time. Just don't tell my boss. :naughty:

Okay here are the pics...
Pic #1
Left side of the room (from left to right then down....)
PC, two LCD monitors (one being Hyundai), Cable box, 13 inch TV (watching Desperate Housewives), Brother Laser Printer and Dell Inspiron Laptop.

PC is a Ultra Wizard Blue Case (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Sku=ULT31584), with Soyo SY-KT880 Dragon 2.0 Motherboard (http://www2.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813139148), 2 gigs of ram, Utlra X-Connect 500 Watt Power supply (green color) (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-detailsInactive.asp?Sku=ULT31588), Jaton Geforce MX4000 Dual monitor video card (http://www2.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814139149), Hitachi 120 GB drive, Maxtor 120 GB drive, BenQ DVD Re-writable, Generic CD Re-writable, AMD 3200 Anthlon XP Barton, Thermaltake Volcano 10 CPU cooler.

Pic #2
Right side (from left to right then down....)
Dell Laptop (from first pic above), two LCD monitors (both are Hyundai) (http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=0-N82E16824179005), my PC, another Dell Laptop
(Incidently, behind my PC is the another monitor, pc, printer.)
Not shown, two scanners, two extra monitors (which the lcd's replaced) and their two extra pcs which I plan on donating to the local senior center.

PC is a Ultra Wizard Black Case, with Soyo SY-KT880 Dragon Plus 2.0 Motherboard (http://www2.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813139148), 2 gigs of ram, Utlra X-Connect 500 Watt Power supply (titanium color) (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=874746&CatId=0), ATI Radeon 7500 Dual monitor video card, Hitachi 160 GB drive, Maxtor 120 GB drive, Maxtor 12 GB drive, BenQ DVD Re-writable with Lightscribe (http://www2.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16827101637), BenQ DVD Re-writable, AMD 3200 Anthlon XP Barton, Thermaltake Volcano 10 CPU cooler. Ultra Blue/UV Dual light kit, UV Light fans, Vantec Slot protectors.

Pic 3
My dual monitors
(Not because they are Hyundai :naughty:, but they are sharp and clear.)
http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/A_View03.JPG

Pic #4
The cabinet that the monitors are resting on I built myself. It took me two weekends because I messed it up on the first try. I still havent finished it. I still have to put the upper board and do the east part of the room. The monitors rest on these doors I constructed for the cabinet. This allows me to hide crap that I seldom use or want to be out of the way.
http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/A_View05.JPG

Not to hog up all the pics, but these are a few more pics of the area...
All the hard drives I put in the systems (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_03.JPG).

Installing the motherboard (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_04.JPG)

Testing the hard drives (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_02.JPG)

This is my Ultra X-Connect power supply. So shiny and no ugly cables. Only use the ones I need too. Plus they glow.
http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_05.JPG

More pics of the power supply and the cables...
Pic 6 (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_06.JPG), Pic 7 (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_07.JPG), Pic8, (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_08.JPG) Pic 9, (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_09.JPG) Pic 10 (http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_10.JPG),

I added these Ultraviolet pci slot protectors so the pci slots do not get any dirt in them.
http://www.santafemods.com/images/Other/PCUpdate/PC_11.JPG

I then modified the case to make it a clear sided instead of the amber which it came with. Actual mod pics are here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=3066845#post3066845).

Thats enough of my setup, post yours...

That's a pretty sweet set up you got there, actually it kicks my setups ass. What I've got basically is just my computer, 19" monitor, a 13" tv, dvd player with surround and a ps2, little more but I'll try and get some pics up within a couple a days.

twospirits...uhh...Uhh..UHHH?!?!??!

I'm SO speechless...

Btw, You use Novell Client too? Our school uses that....know how to bypass the server? Lol...

Anyways, heres one or two photos of my station. The Laptop I'm using....my personal and only computer. Its an NEC Versa E660, chances of you seeing one of these for sale in Canada or even the Unites States are pretty slim. I got it in Hong Kong, but its made in Japan.

40GB, 448 DDR RAM, 1.99 Ghz, ATI Radeon 340 graphics card ( graphics are simply awesome with my crystal clear screen, but causes my computer to crash when I play Need for Speed Underground 2), combo drive (CD read/burn and DVD read), SD card slot, MMS slot (Memory Card).....I dunno...lots of other stuff, I'm not all that into computers. I think I have an awesome laptop, for a 16 year old at least. And some cool USB devices that you probably have never seen...like the USB powered fan with blue lights shown below. I have more (not shown) but I don't use them simulateosly as that will drain out my battery life in a very short time.

Nice laptop. I like its design. I also like that glowing mouse and fan of yours. Pretty cool.

Only the laptops have Novell, the pcs's have Win XP.

TS, your setup kicks ass - Uranium, you'rs is pretty sweet. I'll get a pick up of mine when I can find my damn digital camera. At first, I thought that fan was just a CD stuck on the end of a lamp. LoL

Considering the fact that I'm 16 and that I'm still in High School, I admit that I am pretty lucky to own a hi-performance laptop. I bought this laptop, not my mom or dad. Parent's aren't allowed to use my computer....actually they wouldn't care anyways, they have an awesome Pentium 4, 2.8E processer at home. 80GB, 2.8+ GHz, CD read/burn and DVD read.......I want to go home to play need for speed underground 2 on it. They have the LED's in the computer case too, and change colors constantly like my mouse.

Guess how much the complete package cost (excluding LCD monitor)? It was just a few dollars over $250 US. We got it the end of July last year, when it was one of the top models avaliable.

So yeah, twospirits....I still hate you for having such a KICKASS system. My computer is on the edge of my tiny desk thats about 3 feet in length. However, my computer doesn't overheat like the Toshiba Satellites which the students in our school use for e-Learn. Our laptops come in handy while studying Religion....we play GTA: Vice City, Underground, and a shitload of other games....never got caught.

Question, can you tell a difference with the SATA drives. I am debating whether to get one in the near future.

Not really, I wouldn't bother getting SATA unless you're bulding a new system.
