This happened one week ago, on the first.
It was a drizzly kind of day. My best friend and I were going to a dealership to try to talk down the salesman cheaper for a car I ended up buying on tuesday. We were goin down the road, when I am comin to a stop light and see a 1st gen civic with exhaust on it and some hispanic guy bumpin his music. We started laughin and I waited for the light to turn green. I moved up a lil to let him hear my exhaust, and when the light turned green, I took off normally.
The civic starts spinnin his tires cuz the roads are so wet, so I give it gas and run out first gear, makin him drop back to my door and then I hear him spin second. I spin second as well and run second out all the way and he falls back to about 1 1/2-2 car lengths. I then proceed to go into third only a little n he dropped back another half a length the little time I was on it in third.
He stays back there for a little while so I shift up to fifth and cruise at 60 mph for a few seconds, then I see him startin to fly up on me again. I drop it into third and hammer it and he doesn't even get up to my rear door before I stop his pull on me again. He has to get in my lane because he's comin up on another car, and he drops back a little again.
Again, I'm cruisin along at 60 mph when he decides to give it one more go--I drop it down to third once more and quickly stop his pull on me.
As for my new car, I now have a 98 Cavalier 2dr 5sp. Eventually, if I ever save up enough money, I would like to drop in a Z24 motor n possibly do some other work.

the maxima was just too old...there was rust all over the place, the headers leaked...there was some weird problem where the car would just stutter n shake which was probably the EGR valve...the trans was probably on the way out the door, since it was a used trans n was makin noise already, my struts, which i had just replaced 6 months ago, are bad again...and a few other little things that were just pissin me off...so i said fuck it n got a new car
Basically...it was a thousand dollar car and i already dropped about 1500 into it READ=money pit

1:If you race a good looking civic and beat it: good race, put more performance mods and race me again sometime.
2: Race the worst looking civic and beat it: Ouch! Your exhaust killed my ears, your body kits don't match and really off color. Fix it and race me again and be sure it's not too load like today.
3: Race a nice looking civic thats modded and lost: Damn very nice race, now it's time for my car to have more power. Then I'll race you again.
I've seen worse riced cars that makes a riced civic look good. What other word can I use except "rice". How about "bad show and no go". There's some very good looking and fast civics out there with so much aftermarket.
off topic...
Made a cool civic in NFSU2, but I like the 3000GT VR4 that I made for acceleration. It got off the line quick.(like using N2O) But topped out short...very good when I screw-up.
I hope I said this well...
