Few Questions

Hello all....

I just bought a 1998 Honda Civic LX (plain jane) and i have a few questions.

1) My dash/radio lights are not bright at all, very dull can barely see the speed i am going. Is this normal, or is there something wrong with the dimmer switch?

2) The heater/ac control is slid to off position, but the positioning button(defrost, upper lower etc...) is still on the whole time (green light still on), and air is still blowing thru the vents, hot or cold depending on where the slider is. Any thoughts?

3) Like i said earlier, its a base model with nothing power, but i am wondering if i can buy a keyless entry remote and have it still work with no power door locks? I heard keyless is wired thru stereo, and is there for all civic models.

The mode buttons will always stay lit noo mater where the temp or blower setting is at. If the fresh air button isnt lit up yellow (the button with the pic of the car) Then fresh air will come in while driving. To stop this you need to put it in recirc mode.

You can get a keyless entry system that is aftermarket but Honda does NOT offer a keyless for the DX model. Only LX with power locks. But aftermarket can provide you with actuators that will lock and unlock the doors and then a keyless can be added on top of that. I put a alarm/remote start in my girlfriends DX and i also put lock actuators to unlock and lock the doors with the remote
