Need some exhaust help please

not sure what exactly is wrong with my exhaust, due to the fact that my brotherinlaw (mechanic) has been too busy the past week to check it out, just wondering what COULD be the problem.

its a 1984 z28 camaro and a v8. when i start the car it idles well and runs great, however, after the car is started theres a black streak on the driveway behind the exhaust, some kind of black liquid, not sure what the problem is, any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like its running very rich, that black stuff is soot, aka unburned fuel that is traveling all the way down the exhaust pipe and out the tail. I would say you are in desperate need of a tune up.
