transmission hondamatic

i have an 87 civic with what is known as (so i'm told) a hondamatic,i need to check transmission fluid and cannot find a dipstick. can anyone tell me where it is,or how i check the fluid on a hondamatic?

its towards the front of the trans , it only sticks out of the trans like 7 inchs so you really have to look for it , just look down past the lower radiator hose , and if you need to fill it make sure you get a long funnel
