I have an X-mod. Website to my page can be found at: http://www.freewebs.com/hyprchrgd69/xmods. I haven't touched that car in ages though.
Seriously dude, check out the Remote Controlled Cars forum. I'm sometimes there, and its under the Automotive Art tab.

Since my site is down, I wasted an hour uploading images onto the web (I have 56k). If anybody wants to take a look at my x-mod (Some high quality pics), follow the link.
BEWARE though, by clicking this link you accept that the page will take a shit-load of time to load...and if you're on 56k, don't even think about clicking it and complaining about it. I warned you.

Online is probably your best bet, try ebay...
Do you have Radioshack, or Tandy in Sydney? Both are the same shop, different names. Pretty sure you can't get x-mods here though, I tryed a while back, but decided to buy a real rc car.

^^ WHat he said.
-Davo, why would you want an X-mod anyway? Its a piece of crap, I'd sell mine to you but I don't want a fellow AF to hate me...because its crap. Take my advice, if you want a radio-controlled toy about 1:28 in scale, go with Kyosho's Mini Z series. I watched one of their hardcore racing antics one day in a mall....man, those things can fly!!. For racing, batteries probably won't last more than 10 minutes or so....because they're going so fast. I know some of my hardcore friends have invested over $5k Canadian in their Mini Z collection.....because they wanted to raid the hobby store to get every possible upgrade. And, there are alot more different Mini Z organized events than the X-mod, and body shells are much better looking imo.
I have a stock 1:10 Tamiya TT-01 touring car (see sig), and I'd recommend it if you like R/C cars.

I have some radioshack RC car in my closet. It was sweet when it still worked well because I could drift it and pull 360's and j-turns, etc. Now the differential slips and the motor is wearing out. lol

You can the same stuff to an Xmod as the Mini-Z except AWD. You can drift with the Xmod. You just have to be good at it... I made my XMOD go fast just By putting 2 more Batteries in it... If you want to learn some stuff about XMODS go to Xmod World Forum (http://www.xmodworld.com) or Inferrnal Forum (http://s6.invisionfree.com/Inferrnal_XMOD) Theytalk about them. Take alook at some of the stuff at those websites..

I bought one couple years ago when they first came out...a white Supra. I've had my share of fun with it on the tile floor of my home and all. I guess you're prone to problems if you use it outdoors and all, but I had no problems with mine. Also, you can slide around with it if you have the AWD upgrade. Just convert both differentials to "LSD" and put tape on your tires and you can slide all you want...pretty fun actually. I haven't touched it in years though.
