New paint

I am taking my '79 TA in for paint on the 23rd. I was wondering how long the paint would have to set becore decals could be applied. And after the decals are put on, how long before it can be waxed? I'm having paint then clearcoat put on, with two coats (clearcoat) on the lower sides to help keep the stuff kicked up by the tires from wearing the paint off.

One more thing - My front brakes pull slightly when first touching the brakes, then I hear a click and the car evens up. Assuming I have a bad front caliper (the rears were replaced about 3000 miles ago at about $150 each), I was very surprized to find Bendix calipers for $12 each. I expected them to be at least $100. The pads for the two calipers cost more than the calipers. The difference is that the rears have the emergency brake built in.

Whoever you're taking it to should give you a rough estimate on how long to wait until you can safely wash it, wax it, and whatever. My friend just recently got his car painted a diff color, and they told him to wait 2 weeks before he could wash it. And just a little advice, some awesome stuff to use after you wash it is Turtle Wax car polish. Look for the one that says NanoTechnology on it. I put it on my car about week ago, and driving my car daily since then.. it's still as if I just washed it. I could get a towel right now and toss it on my hood and it would slide right off the other side. But as for your brake problem, I'm clueless. Which I could help you with that.

Paint:
New paint hardens after about 2 days if you got some good stuff and the mix is set up correct. You can pretty much apply decals 2-3 days after the car was painted. I painted spoilers and Bumper recently, metallic, before I applied the clearcoat I added decals and clearcoated over them. I just waited one day to apply the decal and another day for the decal to dry before adding the clearcoat. But of course you want your decals on top of the clearcoat, so 2-3 days is fine. One week after you could wash it, but gently. the best products out there are from Mequiarsto protect your paint, the pros use them also. Always remember to soak your car in water (spray off with a hose) before you get to it...loosen up the dirt first to avoid scratches when washing...
