Cant keep caliper sliders from freezing

Long story short, I had my rear brakes apart on my 95 'Teg several times over the last few months (reason why not important). Each time, the caliper sliders were frozen, or extremely sluggish and took a good bit of effort to free them, with the caliper removed. Each time I used a good quality grease to re-assemble, either Sta-Lube or Permatex synthetic products. This past time, the sliders locked up again in less than two weeks!

The only culprit I can thing of is the fact that Im putting too much grease on the assembly and its preventing any movement of the slider. I am loading the slider and hole up with grease, to the point where I really have to FORCE the slider in the hole. Maybe too much grease is preventing movement and the heat generated by the brakes is gumming everything up, even in such a short period of time.

Could that be the problem or am I out of my tree? How much grease do these things truly need to keep them free?

They don't need that much, they could be bent. If they are bent then they might freez up, or possibly make your pads wear crooked.
