I`m a Ford man myself, but, a Caprice will out perform and out run a crown vic any day.

A Caprice will never ride as comfortable as Crown vic..NEVER!

if you actually looked at the website and read the entire thing you would see that yes the caprice Lt1 would out run the crown vic but thats it. the other two models they offered will not come close. go back and read the website before you make statements. the corvette engine was not in all of these cars. just some without that they were nothing

The only problem with the Caprice is that they are just, well, UGLY.

The article states Ford will not sell a Police Inteceptor to the general population, only police departments. Anyone know why not? Just curious.

The Caprice has the better engine. The 4.6 is a piece of junk anyway.I have been hearing about the engines being replaced after being blown up in the Crown Vics(Police cars) after high speed chases with the 4.6 in them.

You want performance go with the Chevy, you want a moderate performance go with the CV. Chevy after many years finaly caught up to the old Chrysler PD cars. I still believe, that after owning many of them both new and used that the Chrysler with blow the doors off both Ford and GM anytime, and still be a well handling and comfortable ride.
