bogging

i was driving my probe and my check engine light would come on and my car would like pull and bogg when driving what could it be

that sounds alot like what happened to me. take ur car to autozone and get a free diagnosis. it should come back as a etc or ect sensor. it happened on mine and it was 2 sensors that went out. one was telling my car it was really really cold and the other was tellin it that it was like really really hot. so it made it run rich and then lean, hence the bogging.

hey, hope someone is still checking out the posting about this one. My girlfriend has a 96' GT V6 (5-speed) and she is getting the same type of bogging thing. It idles fine, but when you step on the gas it boggs like crazy - like it isn't getting gas. When are the sensors that you changed. She had the check engine light and a garage suggested the MAF be replaced for over $300. I had the car towed here and bought her a 94' Camaro for the time being. (No I'm not rich - and stingy - I just can't see spending money on what could be a simple fix. Please let me know what I should be checking! Thanks a million!
