suberban 93' transmission

hi im new to this forum ok lets start i have 2 suberban 91' and a 93' my 91' is running great but no more windoes and the body is totaly finish my 93' look brand new only one big prob the transmission go only reverse cant go foward at all so i put the 91' a part to get the transmission and put it in the 93' bur after i had the both transmission one the side of each other i saw so diference like the 93' have some electronic on it not the 91 so my question is can i take a 91 transmission and put it in a 93' if yes what are the modification i have to do thx a lot for any help

The 91 tranny requires a TV Cable to control line pressure. The computer is also going to complain about the 93 tranny missing and it will set the Check Engine Light. Some states will not let you pass a smog test if the light is on. A new chip will be needed to turn the light off.

that will not be a prob i stay in northern quebec with the inuit we can even drive with no head light in here lol

so if i understand a can make it fit ecept the light will be open right ??

I believe that they are the same size. The 93 is a 4l60E and the 91 is a 4l60 (also known as 700R4).

If you do the TV Cable it should work. Take some measurements to make sure that are the same length.

hi thanx the prob was fix yesterday they are not the same ans we end up putting the trannsfer case upside down to be able to make it run thx for your reply
