How strong is the 7MGTE bottom end?
How much horse power can it hold safely with the stock bottom end?
I just bought a 89 supra n/a and i'm about to swap a 7MGTE into it to replace my n/a. It's probably the most simple and cost effective.
I want to be in at least the mid to low 13's daily driven. But i want to mainly gear it for the highway. so i can pull on cars from a decent drop.

The stock 7M bottem end is very strong, as long as you don't run it low on oil. If it's in good condition you should be able to get 400hp reliably out of it. Of coarse you are always going to run into the BHG problem, and with higher than stock HP it's only a matter of time before it blows so save up a HG repair fund or such. 13's are easy nowadays, here's the perfect thread for you (if you're not a member of SF you need to be). If you don't want to join it is a thread about everyone running 13's with just under 300HP and very few mods.

If you want more highway acceleration you might want to look into getting a turbo differential, the 87-88 (turbo) is 3.909:1 and the 89-92 (turbo) is 3.73:1, I would go for the 3.73 myself.
