throttle position sensor on a 90 rs 3.1

how hard is it to change the throttle poss. sensor on a 90 3.1 ? someone told me it sucks alot but he doesn't know much..my trouble codes read that its bad and the car stalls alot,smells like gas from the exaust and sucks fuel like a v-8.
