It's a really clean car, very nice. It's white, he had all the windows tinted, and he's got his sound system in it. He bought it yesterday and he's gonna save up to make it fast to. So i was wondering, would an H22 and 5 speed fit in there??? I can do whatever work needs to be done, i'm just trying to come up with some ideas that would be fun and make his car pretty fast, i want him to have the fastest import wagon in Champaign...hehe So whatever ideas anyone has, are welcome. I'll try and get some pictures of it, i actually like it.

AFAIK the H22 is a direct bolt-in to the Accord. Uses the same mounts, harness, etc. Others might want to chime in as well, but I'm pretty sure about it.

I heard that doing a auto to manual conversion in those was a pain in the ass. How so?

I've only seen two Accord wagons in my 24 years of life, not very common eh?
The H22 will fit right in but I only know of one guy who did a auto-manual swap. its costly! he might have to just leave it auto.

Well, I don't know what to tell you about modding it, but I would say that it’s a much better choice than a mini-van.

We're gonna stick with the Auto, i know a guy who's one of the best when it comes to building up tranny's so we'll see if he can do anything. The car looks like a cross between an Accord(obviously) and a Magnum... I think the first step is going to be small aesthetic mods at first, lowering it, then powder coating the rims. This is gonna be a fun project.

I love Accord wagons...
If I had money to throw around at seriously random projects. I'd make an 11 second Accord wagon and still have the stock motor. Trust me it can be done...

why would doing a auto to manuel be costly? my friend swapped trannys in his car with a help of a friend in his driveway in a day. all you basically need is the flywheel, the clutch, the tranny, the pedal assembly, the ecu, the master cylinder, and slave cylinder and lines.
with the H22a your goin to have a flywheel, a clutch, a tranny. all you need is the pedal assembly from a 5 speed accord, and probrably the shift linkage from a 5 speed accord as well ( not sure ) the ECU you will also have with the engine. so all you gotta do is drill holes into the firewall and put the pedal assembly in. the firewall should have a dimple on it for the 5 speed version since htey're the same chassis.

Yeah, my dad had one when I was a kid. The only way he was going to buy a mini-van was if it had a turbo on it. The only problem is that they aren't that great looking.

Anyone know how much we can get an H22 for, or any good place that finds them and sells them? Or should we just go rummaging through the junk yard?

Try here:
http://www.hmotorsonline.com (http://www.hmotorsonline.com/)
Kris suggested it to me. It's where I found the B16 swap that I was looking for. Extremely good prices, especially for complete swaps ;). The H22's are on the end of page 3 and beginning of page 4 (that's in the JDM/USDM motors category).
