Japanese kit tires

Hey,

I was in my room, digging through parts boxes, and I knocked over my jug of spare tires. They rolled here and there. Under the dresser  Under the bed  But I got most of them. I think.

Anyway, I was wondering. Does American satco make the tires for the Aoshima, Fujimi, Tamiya, and other Japanese kits? Someone else? Or is it an inhouse job by the kit manufacturers? Anyone know? Or just want to shoot some answers out? I was just wondering. You could tell me an old chinaman made them out of dried up noodels if you want. Just wondering tho.

Thanks,
Frank X.

I don't know for sure but I think the producers like Aoshima Tamiya etc. Do it themselfs.

I could be wrong, but I think there is some sort of affiliation between American Satco and Aoshima. I believe the Aoshima wheel/tire sets as well as some of their kits include Satco tires. :dunno:

Satco makes some of their own tires; they used to import Aoshima kits.

Satco also imported and sold tires that are normally only available through Aoshima aftermarket service.
