hey i want to add a new muffler to my zx2, i want to get some nice sound, but i don't want to go crazy here. i don't want to scare everyone on the block when the light turns green. my car is all stock, so again, i don't want to go crazy. i was lookin at the flowmaster 40 series for $60 on ebay, but i'm seeing reviews that it is obnoxious on the highway... what do you have?

I got an Apexi N1 Universal 3.5" off eBay $6 + $30 shipping and it sounds great. Just got it installed and I love it. Its loud when you accelerate but relativley quiet when you're just holding speed.

Summit racing's house branded chamber muffler very much like a Flowmaster but the price is easier to take.

Anything louder than stock is gonna be obnoxious on the highway with a 4 banger, no gettin around that. The stock exhaust booms too much at high speed.

i went with a thrush cherry bomb for my probe, thought it was gonna be loud as hell from experience with installing them on 8cylinders years ago but it actually is quite mellow as well during low speeds and it gives you that tuner sound at acceleration.
stock muffler was quoted $129-$189
thrush cherry bomb - $24.99
chome tip ---------- $ 9.99
-------
total $ 34.98
