Nope, gasket problem. Most likely head gasket, the early 4's notorious for bad head gaskets.

I'm with Knifeblade, The head gaskets are known to go bad on the 92's and earlier.
Do have any foam in the oil or are you loosing coolant? These are also signs of a bad head gasket.
There are also other signs but those are two of the most common.
Good luck,

well i lost a lot of coolant but i brought it to the shop and they replaced the water pump they said it was pretty much shot, that was also why i was getting that grinding noise but still i dont get to much power with the car and gas is still getting into the oil so i guess that why i only get like 120 miles to the tank yea i know thats bad ... oh and no i'm not getting a foamy stubstance in the oil but if the headgasket was no good wouldnt i be leaking oil???

Suggest you pressure-check the cylinders. A bad head gasket, depending on where it is bad, yes could toss oil out, as well as coolant or gas. Whichever it may be, you should be able to see it on the outside.
