GSR running lean

Hi,

I just had aem cam gears installed with intake/exhaust type r cams. The intake cam advanced is 2 degrees. Yesterday my engine light came on, i read the code, it was code 45. (Engine running lean/rich). Since i'm running more aggresive cams it's obviously lean. My car is OBD 2 V2 since its a 2001 GSR, on obd1's this code didn't even exist. Is running lean dangerous? Do i need to buy an adjustable fuel regulator to avoid the ecu light? Can my air/fuel ratio be modified on the dyno with a ideband 02 sensor?

ANY help will be appreciated.

well lean means your not getting enough fuel in ur air/fuel mixture....if i were you to montior the air/fuel ratio, buy a gauge for air/fuel ratio obviously wtach how the gauge reads. If it stays on lean most of ur driving time then you need to do somethign about fuel upgrade....maybe fuel filter, pump, regulator, injector. But alot of time ur fuel system has nothing to do with your trouble code reading lean mixture it could be a faulty O2 sensor
if u do get a air/fuel gauge, if the needle bounces between rich and lean (which usually means stioch) then its normal
