Ok, Ive searched and searched the archives and I have found that there really arent that many post reguarding a 6.0L setup. I have a 2001 ccsb with the 6.0L. When I looked under the truck I saw that I have dual 3" pipes from the cats coming back into the muffler then coming out in 2 3" pipes then going into a Y pipe and exiting. I want the exhaust system to be loud but yet legal. Ive looked into flowmaster super 40's and magnaflows, but am unsure which to get. I also dont want the droning sound (if thats possible) Does anybody have a 6.0 with a great sounding exhaust? Fill me in what do you guys think
thanks

I have the Corsa Sport cat-back system on my 5.3 and I think it sounds great. I have previously posted a link to a sound clip of my exhaust but for your info, here it is again:

Also here is a link to the Corsa web page of a 6.0 Denali which will sound just like the pickup.

I have never been in a truck that had the Flowmaster 40 on it but I believe it would sound louder inside than the Corsa. The Corsa system has a nice bark outside but in the cab it is fairly quiet. Also it has absoutely no drone in the cab. At cruise you almost forget it is there but when you accelerate it starts talking.

The price........ Are you sitting down! The Corsa cat-back will cost you about $800 plus bucks. If you can afford it I think it would be worth the price. It is well made with everything stainless and just bolts up. No cutting or messing around required and nothing else to buy.

DAMN that's expensive... I'm glad the old owner of my truck had a Flowmaster cat back installed.

The previous owner of my toy had the 40 series Flowmaster single in dual out with 3" chrome cannons installed out the back. I bought it with 41K and by 50K the guts were falling out rattling and the resination was so loud I could not hear my wife nor the 5 year old twins in the back seat at any speed. Wait, I think that was the goog thing.:naughty: The chrome was so rusted I could not make any part of them shine.

Point being watch what you get. I got lucky and found a single in/out Bosal stainless 3" that has great bottom sound, sets a few alarms off, and at 80 mph there is no resinense at all. My coworker that has hearing aids can have a conversation from the back seat with no voice raising.

Good luck.
