I bought this car about two months ago and recently i've been having problems with it stalling out while i'm driving and once it stalls some times it start right back up and other times i have to wait 30 minutes. Also it's been getting worse as its running really rough and and the acceleration is slipping. I replaced the ignition module, and the TPS, but neither did anything to help the problem. I'm thinking there's an odd chance that it could be the fuel pump or filter, but it could also be computer problems along with quite a few other things. I just want to know about other people that had similar problems and what they did to fix it, before i pay $70/hr for a diagnostics test

I have a 97 LeSabre and had a stalling problem and found the problem to be a bad ground lug on the passenger side. There are about 3 - 5 wires going to this lug. When my car died everything was dead. I cleaned this connection and it's working fine now.
Before I found this problem I noticed that when I used my power locks my lights would dim, my starter would be slugish, and my battery would be charging but it would be a low charge. Now, my lights do not dim with the power locks, my starter is quick and sharp and my battery is charging at a higher rate (per the gauge on the dash).
I know that there is a bit of difference in years in our cars and I have not compaired them. I just wanted to let you know of my experience.

Those are excellent points about the importance of the ground wire connections under the hood. Many overlook them. The battery connections could be cleaned up real good too. I always check and clean the ground wires first if I think there is an electrical problem. I would look at the fuel filter also and probably replace it. Could run by Autozone. They will read the codes with a scanner for free. You might be able to flash out any codes on the dash though since it is a 92. The ECM will store codes if the check engine light has been on. There may not be any codes, but it can be checked real quick. How about your oxygen sensor (before the cat. converter)? Has it been replaced recently? Are the plugs and plug wires okay? Might be the crankshaft pos. sensor. too. A freind of mine was having stalling problems in his Buick and it was the crankshaft pos. sensor.

Had exact same problem with '92 Lesabre... had mechanic change all the cables leading up from the battery on advice from someone here...even though cables appeared fine...worked like a charm. Not stalling in over a year...after we had dealt with intermittent problem for two years.
