What do u guys think is the fastest PRODUCTION car in the world. I heard is was the bugati sumshit but i dont know

The Veyron isn't out yet but will definitely give the CCR a run for it's money. The Saleen S7TT (http://www.fast-autos.net/saleen/saleens7tt.html) will take a shot at that record sometime this year as well.

It was the McLaren F1 at 240 mph, until the Koenigsegg CCR beat it by 1 mph this year.


If the Veyron does what the VAG say it's going to do, then it will bring the new record to 260 mph. 250 mph is what it's more likely going to be, though. I'm predicting about 240-245 for the Saleen, so there is every chance it could hold the title until the Veyron is released.

I think I read somewhere that the Veyron might not even top 230mph due to stability issues. It is a 4,000lb car. The CCR and F1 both have better power to weight ratios.

I'm hoping the new S7 wins it when it takes a crack at it.

I also hear Dodge thinks and plans for their ME-12 to not beat, but shatter the record as it is.

ME-412 has been shelved as of a few months ago.

I think nit got to 240.1 MPH. I'm not sure, but I think thats what it said in the "Excellence" (Porsche magazine) article about the 9ff. Correct me if I'm wrong. If I find the magazine, then I'll post again.

the last i heard, the gps timing device wasn't 100% on the day they were doing the speed runs so nothing was taken as 'fact'.

i just recall a black one with silver 9ff having problems with the timing gear.
like i said, this was quite a while back now.....
