No sound seems to be coming out of my Premier deck which I just installed today, but since it had no sound, me and my friend just installed a old 35x4 deck... Can anyone help me on why my deck doesn't put out sound? The deck works and all, just no sound. By the way, I drive a 1991 Toyota Camry and I'm planing to hook up two 10 inch MTX Thunder6000's.

did you use a wiring harness, or do it by hand?

It turns on and stuff, just no sound comes out of it. I used a wiring harness. I've encountered another problem today... as me and my friend were just hooking up the sub and amp, it took unusually long for my car to start up and my antenna would go up by itself each time I started the car up and the speakers would make a weird sound as well. My camry is giving me a lot of problems now..

My friend said it's my Awia deck that's not being able to push the subs, I'm not sure if I mentioned that it is a 35x4 watt deck. Just great, my uncle tried to help me wire my deck, and now when I hook up a deck, the clock doesn't come on.

Another update, I bought new fuses for my car and replaced the blown fuses and everything works.. except there's still no sound coming out of my speakers, at least the sub works... can anyone help me?

That sounds like all electrical/wiring issues, unless the amp for the speakers inside the head unit is shot. I would try taking two of the wires from the harness (say, the white and white with the black stripe), and hooking them up to a speaker while it's still hanging out of the dash. If it works then, there's gotta be wiring issues further out in the car. If it doesn't work directly from the back, no matter what, I'd say you have a bad deck and should send it back or at least call Pioneer. They're a big company and should have at lease some technical support for ya.

Good luck!

I think his clock is seperate in his dash... that's the way mine is. I could be wrong though. It sounds like he blew a bunch of fuses, replaced them, and ended up with the original problem of no speaker output. I was suggesting he test output straight from the back of the headunit, before he even got into factory wiring. If he doesn't have any output on the speaker lines, even after messing with all the menus, etc on the front, he's probably got a bad unit.

I'm guessing it's the deck as well. My Awia deck works fine, it gives out sounds through the speakers, but it doesn't have enough power to run my amp and subs, but the Pioneer does. Weird thing... my Awia deck gives out sound, but doesn't have enough power for the subs. The Pioneer deck doesn't give out sound, but gives out power for the sub to hit. I've messed with the menu and nothing worked. Before I received the Pioneer deck, it worked fine in my friends Accord, I'm hoping it's the decks harness has a loose wire or something so I can get it replaced because I like the deck, it's sleak and it has a nice layout, but some people may think otherwise.

like I said, try the wires straight from the back of the deck.

What do you mean by "try the wires straight from the back of the deck"?
