JL 8w7

I was offered to buy a JL 8w7 for $290. I dont know much about systems i'll admit. But from what some people tell me the JL 8w7 is pretty beast. What do you guys think? should i get that and run it. Or should I go for another offer for two 12'' eclipses for $350?

2 12s will be louder and sound better. The W7s are badass subs, but a 8" W7 won't compare to two 12" Eclipses.

JL makes AWESOME subs. But it's a fact that a single 8" can't move as much air as duel 12" subs. I dont even know why they still make 8" subs. Get the 12's. They will hit harder and louder.

Yeah thats what i figurerd...I'm still trying to find out what model the Eclipses are because I'd really like to get my hands on some Titaniums. I just got offered another JL 8w7's for $250. So what about two 8w7's compared to 2 12's? I'm still leaning towards the eclipses. Thanks for the replies. Late.

2 12s still has greater cone area than 2 8s. Unless they are like audiobahns and half the cone area is taken up by useless surround.

what kind of sub are you suggesting? I'm more into SQL than SPL. I heard DD's werent too bad either.

Ive had experience with L7's and dont have a single complaint. One 12" L7 would sound clean and hit hard also. I think that one sub sounds cleaner than two.

damn those subs were sold before I could buy em :disappoin But I got a new offer for a sub called a Cyclone...anyone ever heard of it?
