Q about 300zx mafs

do i need just the mafs or something else with it to make it work.

all right, quick question, but i sincerely dont know much about this. MAFS = Mass Air Flow Sensor? And what does it do?

It measure the amount of air coming into the engine to determine the amount of gas to send. Basically, it's a sensor that measure the mass of air that flows into the engine.

1. you need the pigtail with the connector.
2. you need the sr20det and 300zx wiring scymatics(to figure wiring locations)
3. you will need a adapter plate for ur aircleaner(i bought kit from ebay)
4. you will need 3 inch piping or adapter coupling

You will need to rescale the signal. The 300z MAF sends about half the signal for the same airflow as the stock SR or KA. Get the SAFC or an ECU tune like JWT or Enthalpy.

Wire colors match up. Just color code them. I believe you have one left over, but you just ground that. And solder them please. www.jimwolftechnology.com has actual diagrams.
