b16 map sensor broke, probably during shipping. Where can i purchase one?

My map sensor, i think that it is on my b16 is broken, probably due to shipping, do i have to get one on ebay or can i order one from a dealership? thanks

Yup, your best bet is the dealer. However, think that part is VERY expensive. Your other option try to find one in the junkyard. I believe most SOHC Civics and Del Sols used the same part number. GL

dude, it might not be the map sensor. the map sensor on older civics and integras is located on the firewall, not on the engine. and it has a vacuum hose running to it. you probably have a broken throttle position sensor, aka TPS. its on the throttle body of the engine and usually gets broken during shipping.

well if i were to get one at a dealership what year of the vehicle would i look up for that then? 94-97 del sol? 88-95 civic/ crx?

yeah its the tps sensor, can i get the replaced at a dealership? or do i gotta go to ebay or a junkyard?

You have to get a whole new throttle body if you go to the dealer. Just get any 86+Acura or 88+ honda TPS sensor at the junkyard and cut the rivets off and screw the new one on!
