engine swaps

Hey i own 1995 cavalier wiht the 2.2 non ecotech with 152000 miles and runs like a champ dont use a drop of oil but i want to get a 2.4 liter with dohc but i dont know exactly which year would probably bet better i was originally going to go to a junk yard and geta wrecked car wiht a good front end and take it home pull the engine out and rebuild it wiht all performance parts pistons cams all that good stuff. but i dont know which year and or if there would be any reall difference in any newer car plus which engine had the better looking valve cover if any one could give me a lil info that would be great so get back to me on that.

the 2.4L was the same from 96-02.. pick one. Only thing that changed were the trannys from isuzu to getrag.

what is the difference between the getrag and the isuzu personally i dont want any isuzu crap cuz the name sounds like shit but what is the dfifference between the clutch and the flywheel then the 2.2 if any
