AC Compressor kicking on and off?

Hey I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with there AC compressor kicking on and off with out the AC setting on. I have the setting on Heat in the cab and set on Vent. It baffels me and I called the dealer and he said he has never came accross this problem before only with the AC on and refrerigerant level low this occurs?

ANy ideas?

Is it just on heat or defrost? The compressor will cycle on and off intermittently by design in the defrost mode.

The temp control is set to Hot

The setting is set to vent.

It is not set on Defrost setting

Well you didn't say what model you have. There are some that the fan control turn to left for AC and turn to the right for heat. There are some models that have a bottom to turn AC compressor on and off. Outside of that clicking on and off that much can also mean that it is low on freon depending on outside temp.
