To day is a really bad day for me. This is my second ticket so far!! It really sucks, my first one was 98 in a 65 which I went to trafic school for and got it all cleared up. Well today I got it for going over the double yellow line. I barely even went over it but a sherif saw me do it so I got pulled over. This really sucks, does anyone know how much the fine may be? Can I go to trafic school a second time so my insurance doesnt go up or so I dont get a point on my record?:disappoin:disappoin:disappoin

I would try to say it's discrimination. He saw some kid in a import so he just had to fuck with him. That probably wont work but you could try.

God I hate these Cali cop's, just becuase someone has a nice car they want to pull you over. I was barely on the line and I did not cause a threat to on coming cars, since there was no on coming car!!!

I dont get why people dont see these types of discrimination being as bad as discrimination based on race or sex. So you went a little over the lines. Who the fuck cares. If it was some old person with $, this would be "oh sorry sir/madam, have a good day." Such BS.

I think just because they see a young kid driving a nice car they automaticly think, "hey a punk kid lets pull him over!". I was very polit to the officer but he was a dick to me. The officer told me "I'm letting you off easy today because I could impounded your car if I felt like you were a threat to me" (but I wasnt at all) He made it sound like I was in the middle of the road, it just pisses me off.

If I were you I would hire a very good lawyer and just get out of it. I've been in court when a guy was pulled over for his tires "chirping" at a light and the cop searched his car and found a pipe. They guy's lawyer tore the cop a new one and all charges were dropped. LOL

That sucks man. The thing is, I doubt that the fine will be that big or even have that large of a detrement on your license or insurance.

I hope it works out...

I know down here you can take defensive driving once every 6 months, if the judge lets you. Ragin dont feel bad, Ive had about 6 tickets in about a year, most were on the bike though. But the 2 that i was in the car the first was legit, but the second the gave me a $150 for passing in a "non"passing zone.......with striped, not solid lines.

Just show up at the court on your date and they may bring your points down. I had an 8 point ticket that I got down to 3 and a class.
How many points is the ticket?

I'm not sure about how many points it is, I still have to wait to get the other thing in the mail.

you guys think that's retarded...

our police station and court house are right next to each other and i went to the court house to pay a running a red light ticket (it was yellow but the cops a fucker) and when i got out of the court house i saw the cop sitting at the cop station in his car. he waited for me to leave and pulled me over as soon as i exited the parking lot for a tint ticket. no points and only $20 but I was pissssed. what a bitch ass cop.

The traffic school law here in California is you can only take it every 18 months. About the points im sure its only one point but i know they dont lower the point amount by going to court, but they do reduce the fine. i know there are a few places that wont reduce the fine, but most do.

I have lived in New York and Colorado and when you show up to the court house they will reduce points but never fines.
I had a cop pull a U-turn and follow me for two miles in a 30mph zone. He pulled me over for to loud of an exhaust. He said that I could pay $75 or get the stock exhaust put on. It was also the same cop that pulled me over a week earlier for speeding up trough a yellow light. He explained to me that if I had been a little later to the light and the other people went jumped the green light; I might have gotten in an accident. I didn't even know what to say to that.
And that sucks gthompson, there are some a-hole cops and some good cops, but most are a-holes

Yeah, cops are dicks. Most are very sneaky and just want to give out as many tickets as possible.... bastards. Good luck with your ticket though

All these cops used to race mustangs and mopar back in the day, they don't like the fact that little 4 bangers can eat mustang....I think a judge can override the 18mo rule, but it would most likely not happen. I'm sure the fine is tiny.

My friend has an 11 sec built 350gt, nicest car I've seen, he gets pulled over all the time for speeding, but usually ends up showing the cop his car and talking about old muscle cars....never had a ticket in his mustang yet, got 2 in his mom mini cooper s.
